Our Learning

We are right into learning about the different environments that surround our little Kura. We understand the importance of nurturing our awa, maunga, roto, moana and marae. Our tamariki get to test water ways, search for insects, learn about habitats, gardening skills, gathering and cooking kai, water safety skills and soooooooo much more. Our tamariki thrive while learning outside, being amongst it all, getting dirty and having fun while doing so! If you love being outdoors come and check us out!

All Kura across Aotearoa are revamping their Maths, Reading, Writing and Spelling mahi. Here at KVS we are using; 

- Maths: Numicon for Years 0 - 3 and Maths No Problem for Year 4 - 8 tamariki

- Literacy: BSLA and The Code (Liz Kane)

Like other Kura, we are excited to introduce these programmes into our daily mahi.
