| Standing proudly behind our kura, the maunga in this picture represents both our local land and our vision. The tall peaks serve as a daily reminder of the high expectations we hold for everyone in our kura. | These waves represent connection, linking us to the Kaihu Awa that runs past our kura. Just as the awa has sustained our community for generations, these waves symbolise the deep bonds we share with our environment, our history, and everyone we meet on our collective journey. | The solid triangle represents standing strong and overcoming challenges. It’s a reminder to stand tall and strong like a kauri tree, showing resilience and never giving up. Even when the climb gets steep, we keep pushing forward until we reach the highest peak. | A symbol of aroha for one another. It reflects the deep care and respect shared between our tamariki, staff, whānau, and community. The grooves on the sides represent the passage of time—the highs and the lows—and how we can overcome any challenge when we stand together. |
